Tech help required
Coming back to the problems I'm facing in posting my blogs, as I've mentioned in my previous post, I thought it best to ask for help from you people,my co-bloggers.
Well for starters, I was using a normal computer, but then one day all of a sudden I was unable to access all my google accounts. I'm able to open the google search sites, but not personal accounts, specifically gmail and blogger.
I usually used to use my cell phone to read and comment on your blogs. But during the same time, somehow, my mobile tells me, that my password is in correct and I need to check it from a PC. On checking the accounts from a friends system, I found that it accepts my old password only, which my cell is rejecting.
Now tired with my daily constant complaints, my husband got me a iPad, he had seem me fretting over all the various indiblogger competitons, but now comes the new problem. I don't know how to edit word documents here. I alos dont kow why the page breaks are not working....so many things that I dont know. And now I find out, I can't even link images to my posts. Tried unsuccessfully to link URLs and tags too. Teething day for sure, but am so tired of not being able to blog that I've finally come out seek help from anyone who can.
People please leave your suggestions and share your experiences with me here.

oops it seems to be a serious problem, i am sure that ur gmail is NOT hacked..
ReplyDeleteBut it could soem problem with mobile, like virus or some worm, try changing browser and try giving a format...
am no tech expert, update me !
Hey Karthik, .what a coincidence...was on your blog at the same time u posted this comment...I know...it's a serious problem, and even after getting my system restored and reformatted things don't work out...so now the next best thing is to learn to use this tablet...
DeleteYou don't have 'A Problem'. You have several problems at hand. Try killing them one-by-one.
ReplyDeleteKnowing the fact that you have an iPad, I think it should be easier for you now as you do not have to worry about the PC. First get a text editor app on iPad. I am not sure if they give you one by default. In case you already have, it should be easy to edit / write blog posts. Page breaks may be difficult via iPad as it actually does not have a 'real' keyboard, using which you could have actually put the page break.
Hmm...thanks Mohit, ya I know I have too many issues at hand, and no clue how all of them ganged up against me at the same time!!
DeleteWell iPad does have a page break, I'm also able to format my post on the Creat a new pos page, I can see the page breaks there, but when I posted it they just disappeared, and I can't continue to write without page breaks or even images for the matter.
Like you would have noticed, I can put a PB for comments...but not on the actual posts!
Do you think attaching a keyboard will help? I've asked a few people here, but none of them know why it's not working for my blogs.
I'm looking for a good editor but most of them are paid, any suggestions?

Need more than just wishes....isn't there any one blogger who uses an iPad to blog...another option is, I switch over to reading and commenting than writing, as it is, I've always liked that better.
DeleteStill don't know what to do..m trying to get some app, there are lots of people using Wordpress app on iPad, but none that I know of using blogger...could you tell me how you moved from blogspot to Wordpress.might have to do that as a last resort.
Deleteyeah , I dont have a ipad so cant help at all.. but weird is why you cant open google from ur pc.. thats what you shud work on.. find a good anti virus and check if there is a virus or something ..

As Mohit, why don't you google some Apps for your iPad. It might help you with the posting things.
ReplyDeleteAbout the password, it usually happens to everyone. Which browser do you use? Try changing the browser and then login.
Hi Pooja, I did get some apps, but none of them seem to be accepting me google password. I'm able to use the same password from my phone and iPad browsers, but not from my pc browsers...tried 3 browsers, but same problem persists.
DeleteThe most popular opinion being move to Wordpress, but being me, I don't know when I'll get to doing it.

Oh dear, don't tell me not to move to Wordpress, it's the promised blogging paradise! I just got a blog I'd there, though I know whenever blogger starts functioning properly for me, I'll be back here, its like your first love!
